Tuesday 4 February 2020

Welcome back to another exciting year.

Our College community has grown considerably this year with 145 new students and their families joining us. To all our new families we extend a very warm welcome and trust that your transition into the College has been a positive experience. With a total student enrolment of just over 980 students from Prep to Year 12 we are experiencing tremendous growth which will continue into next year with the introduction of Pre-Prep.

The first week of Term 1 has been very encouraging and I commend all students for their positive attitude as they settle into the routine of classes after the holidays. I am sure you would all agree that our campus looks spectacular with the grounds in excellent condition and the opening of our new Year 6 precinct a wonderful addition to the learning resources in the Primary School. Over the course of 2020 we will see an array of new and exciting projects taking shape with the refurbishment of the Early Learning Centre in readiness for Pre-Prep in 2021 and the construction of the much-anticipated Senior Hub.

Rivermount College has become synonymous with community and in 2020 it is our ongoing objective to build upon and strengthen the essential link between home and school. We believe that students thrive in an environment that is supportive and consistent and where positive channels of communication and constructive working relationships exist between families and staff. For this to occur we encourage all families to avail themselves of the many support systems and tools in place to ensure timely and accurate communication. To assist you in making the most of the 2020 school year please note the following important communication methods:
