ICT Support Officer | Full-time

The College is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated individual to join our ICT team in the role of ICT Support Officer. This position commences in January 2021 and is offered on a full-time basis.

As part of our ICT Team, the support officer will play a proactive role in the delivery of the Colleges ICT Strategy and provide professional assistance to our staff, students and College community. Key responsibilities will include:

  • monitor and process routine incoming help desk requests ensuring all requests are managed professionally, timeframes are met, follow-up actions are executed, ICT asset records are kept up to date and all work is recorded as required.
  • assist in the management and use of hardware including laptops, tablets, digital cameras and video cameras, data projectors, and phone systems.
  • assisting in configuration, deployment and maintenance of a Standard Operating Environment (SOE).
  • facilitate laptop and desktop repairs as required.
  • develop and maintain documentation and electronic resources to promote the use of ICT.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, both verbal and written, and possess high level problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. To be considered for this role, the following qualifications and skills are essential:

  • Completion of Certification IV or greater.
  • Demonstrated strong technical support troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in ICT support services, service desk support.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office desktop applications.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft/Office 365/Google Apps (Exchange Online, OneDrive, Teams).
  • Knowledge of Windows Server, Azure Active Directory, Group Policy and Remote Desktop Services.
  • Knowledge of Networking.
