Rivermount College Announces Appointment of New Board Chairperson
Rivermount College is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs Nonie Webb as the new Chairperson of the College Board of Directors, effective from Monday 22 June 2026.
Mrs Webb brings extensive experience in senior management, finance, compliance, and strategic leadership. With a strong background in business development, project management, and operational efficiency, coupled with her dedicated commitment to education and community engagement, Mrs Webb is an excellent appointment to lead the Board through the next stage of its strategic vision.
Long-serving Chairperson and Board Member of Rivermount Education Limited, Mr Garry Stokes, welcomed the appointment, noting the valuable expertise and leadership Mrs Webb will bring to the College community.
"We are delighted to welcome Nonie as Chairperson of the Board," said Mr Stokes. "Her industry experience, strategic insight, and commitment to educational excellence will be instrumental as we continue to build on Rivermount College's strong foundations and pursue exciting opportunities for the future."
In accepting the appointment, Mrs Webb expressed enthusiasm for the role and the opportunity to contribute to the College's ongoing success.
"Rivermount College has a special place in my heart," said Mrs Webb. "My family has been closely connected to the College for many years, with all four of my children graduating between 2016 and 2021. As a long-serving Board Member, I have served on both the Property and Finance Committees, including as Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee. Prior to my appointment to the Board in 2015, I spent many valuable and enjoyable years serving the community as Families and Friends President.
"For me, Rivermount has always been an extension of my family's home, and it was when my husband faced cancer and sadly passed away in 2024 that I truly experienced the genuine kindness and support of this wonderful community."
Outgoing Chairperson Mr Garry Stokes, whose passionate leadership and dedicated service have made a significant contribution to the College and its community, will continue to serve on the Board of Directors of Rivermount Education Limited. The College is grateful for his strong governance, leadership, and stewardship throughout his tenure.
As Rivermount College looks to the future, the College Board of Directors remains, as Mr Stokes aptly coined, "mission-driven and vision-focused" in its unwavering commitment to providing an outstanding educational experience for students from Kindy to Year 12.
