The College’s top swimmers, from the Primary and Secondary schools, have created an impressive wave of interschool results in Term 1. At the 2026 Pacific Districts Swimming Trials, a strong team of 26 athletes represented the College with the team collectively securing finishes in the top ten in 110 of 117 races and earned an impressive 33 podium placings! Our elite swimmers also set 10 new College records in the pool.
The success continued with 12 students progressing to the South Coast Regional Trials, held at the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre. Across 35 races, the team achieved 14 top-10 finishes, including six podiums. Even more impressively, the swimmers recorded 12 personal bests and made a further seven new College records, highlighting their dedication and continued improvement in the sport.
Congratulations to all students on their impressive results and a special congratulations to Evelina Volz and Cameron Hopkins for advancing to the 2026 Queensland School Sport State Championships.
Proudly representing the College on the South Coast Schools team, Evelina and Cameron both finished in the top ten of their 400 metre Individual Medley events. Evelina also achieved top ten in the 200-metre Backstroke, while Cameron was top ten in 100 metre Backstroke, 200 metres Breaststroke, and improved the College record he set at the South Coast trials.
