The College community celebrated academic excellence at Friday's Awards Assembly with the announcement of our highest honours for 2025 - the Colin Young Founding Principal's Award for College Dux and the Principal's Award of Dux Proximae. These prestigious awards recognise the Year 12 students who achieved the highest and second-highest overall academic results, reflecting not only exceptional performance but also dedication, perseverance and a commitment to learning.
The Proximae Accessit for 2025 is Ethan Hall, whose outstanding results across Mathematical Methods, Specialist Mathematics, Physics, Engineering and Digital Solutions included full marks on all Mathematical Methods internal assessments and near-perfect Specialist Mathematics results.
Benjamin Ellison is our 2025 College Dux, having achieved exceptional results across the same demanding subjects, including an impressive overall score of 97 in Specialist Mathematics and perfect internal assessment results.
Both students will commence a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Master of Engineering at the University of Queensland, and the College community warmly celebrated their achievements as an inspiring example of academic excellence. Congratulations to both gentlemen, and we look forward to following your success as College Alumni.
