Visual Art Students Step into Spotlight at 2025 Artwaves Exhibition

The College’s Visual Art program empowers students to create, explore, and critically analyse artworks across diverse media while gaining an understanding of history, culture, and the role of both artist and audience. Through a dynamic curriculum that combines theoretical and practical skills in drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, and digital media, students develop creativity, problem-solving abilities, and an appreciation for the powerful influence of visual communication on society.

This year, we are proud to celebrate the incredible talent of our emerging artists, with 13 Visual Art students selected to showcase their work in the highly regarded Artwaves Exhibition. Entrants will represent the College at the prestigious event, which will feature standout pieces from students across 31 Secondary Schools in the Logan region.

Artwaves 2025 will be open to the public from Saturday 13 September to Saturday 1 November, with free entry for all visitors. Attendees can support their favourite artworks by casting a vote in the People’s Choice Awards at the gallery.
