Year 1 Scientific Investigators Discover the Sights and Sounds of Toohey Forest

Last week, our Year 1 students took a scientific journey to the Toohey Forest Environmental Education Centre to explore the natural world.

Supporting their studies in Science and Geography, students were encouraged to use a combination of scientific investigation and sensory discovery, asking questions and making observations to learn how animals thrive within their habitats. The cool, damp weather provided an ambient setting for students to experience the environment and engage with the sights, sounds and textures of nature.

The students embraced their day out with enthusiasm and curiosity. It was fantastic to see our young learners engaged, inquisitive and excited to explore the world beyond their classroom. A special thank you to the parent helpers, volunteers and staff who helped to support the excursions.
