Adventure, challenge and plenty of fun defined the Year 7 Camp at Tyalgum Ridge Estate, held earlier this month. From the moment they arrived, students were immersed in a range of exciting, instructor-led activities including kayaking, archery, swimming, high ropes, raft building and orienteering. The highlight for many campers was the waterfall hike and rock-hopping, which were physically and mentally challenging and brought out their incredible perseverance and teamwork.
Whether stepping outside their comfort zones on the high ropes or encouraging one another across slippery rocks, students showed resilience, courage and support for their peers.
Over three exciting days of adventure, students grew in confidence, strengthened friendships, and developed a strong sense of achievement and belonging, making a highly positive start to Secondary School.
