2025 Year 8 Camp: Building Resilience and Team Spirit

Our Year 8 students embraced the recent cold weather for five days and four nights of team-building challenges on camp at Emu Gully, Mt Tamborine. With activities based around the spirit and stories of our Australian war diggers, the campers set up their tents, cooked meals for their peers and participated in an array of challenges such as tunnel crawls, obstacle courses, and muddy water rescues, as they approached every task with determination and team spirit. When the sun went down, the students shared daily reflections around the campfire and wrote letters to their future selves to open in their Senior Year of school.

During the experience, the students discovered the value of mateship and teamwork with activities designed to challenge them physically, mentally, and bring the cohort closer together.
