Ella Flies Above Competition at Junior World Cheerleading Championships!
Year 10 student Ella Van Haren recently represented Australia in the Junior Advanced All Girls team at the 2025 ICU Junior World Cheerleading Championships in Orlando. Despite several injuries, requiring surgery and rehabilitation prior to the event, Ella retained her position as a flyer on the team.
For her resilience and attitude, Ella co-carried the Australian flag at the event, which featured 120 nations and five Australian teams. Competing over two days, Ella and her team triumphed in first place! The Australian teams won a total of three medals, including two gold.
Ella’s journey will continue to the next level of competition in 2026, competing in more events recognised by the International Olympic Committee. We look forward to following her journey and wish her the best of luck.
