Golden Success at the 2025 Duke of Edinburgh Awards

A trio of dedicated Rivermount College students has reached an inspiring milestone, receiving the prestigious Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award, which is the highest level of achievement in the internationally recognised youth development program.

The Duke of Edinburgh Award empowers young people to explore their potential and grow through challenge, service, and self-discovery. At the Gold level, participants commit to a rigorous program involving volunteering, physical recreation, skill development, an adventurous journey, and a residential project, each designed to foster leadership, resilience, and community-mindedness.

The Award program is more than an extracurricular opportunity; it serves as a launchpad for tomorrow's leaders. Students are encouraged to pursue their interests and serve their communities, building confidence and essential life skills in the process.

The College would like to congratulate current and past students who were recently presented with their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award at Brisbane City Hall by Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM, Governor of Queensland.

Congratulations to:

Cassandra Robertson - Class of 2024

Sophie Anderson – Class of 2025

Ashlyn Kennedy – Class of 2025
