Foundation Day 2025 commemorated another milestone for Rivermount College as the community came together to celebrate 33 years of operation with a special assembly filled with reflection, gratitude, and joy.
A highlight of this year’s event was a moving interview with Mrs Corry Young, Director of Mission and one of the College’s founding members. Speaking with heartfelt emotion, Mrs Young shared insights into the College’s humble beginnings and the vision that continues to guide its mission today. Retiring Principal, Mr Richard Young, then took to the stage for an interview, offering reflections on the College’s journey, its values, and his vision for a bright future.
At the assembly, we also had the privilege of recognising staff that have faithfully and proudly reached their 10 and 20 year service milestone.
Following the formal proceedings, students and staff gathered on the College Green to enjoy celebratory cake, sharing stories and laughter as they marked this important chapter in RMC’s history.
It was a fitting tribute to 33 years of learning, growth, and community.
