Rivermount College Foundation Day 2026

Last Friday, our community proudly celebrated Foundation Day 2026, marking another important chapter in the College’s proud history with a range of special activities that reflected on our core mission and purpose.

The day’s celebration included an engaging Assembly followed by an array of fun activities that focused on Indigenous culture, the environment and community. Performances featured our Senior Dance students, Riverphire Choir and the talented String Ensemble. Our Year 12 Leadership Team also presented a Dreamtime Story, sharing a meaningful message of connection, identity, and respect. As part of a long-standing tradition, staff who have reached their 10 and 20 years of service at the College were also recognised for their dedication and contribution.

Perfect sunny weather provided an ideal backdrop to the many outdoor activities that allowed students to see our mission in action including Indigenous story-telling and yarning circles, nature art, boomerang painting and throwing, a scavenger hunt and cultural games. The event culminated with a delicious sausage sizzle provided by our Wellbeing staff and senior students.

Foundation Day 2026 was a memorable celebration of the College’s history and community over the past 34 years, as well as our ongoing commitment to learning, growth, and belonging.
