Orientation Day 2024

Welcome to 2024 at Rivermount College. We are excited to welcome all new students and families to our community.

Orientation Day: Monday 22 January 2024

  • New students Year 1 to Year 12
  • All Year 7 students
  • All Kindy students
  • All Prep students

Where to go on Orientation Day:

All students will commence classes at 8:30am. Orientation Day will conclude at 10:30am for all students other than Year 7 students. Year 7 will participate in a full day program from 8:30am to 3:20pm

  • Kindy students will go directly to the Kindy rooms located in the Early Learning Centre. Please enter through the foyer where our lovely Seedlings staff will guide you. Photo opportunities will be available to commemorate this very important first day.
  • Prep students will go directly to the Prep classrooms located in the Early Learning Centre with entry via the Primary school pathway. Please do not enter via the Kindy rooms
  • New Primary Students (Year 1 to Year 6): Primary Undercover Area
  • Year 7 students: CYCC - The Colin Young Community Centre (Hall)
  • New Year 8 to 12 students: CYCC - The Colin Young Community Centre (Hall)

What to bring on Orientation Day:

  • Please bring all booklist items and ensure that everything is named
  • Year 7 students are asked to bring Morning Tea and Lunch

What to wear on Orientation Day:

Program for Year 7 Students:

Year 7 Orientation Day commences with a Welcome Assembly and the laptop distribution will follow this Assembly

Venue and Time: The Colin Young Community Centre | Monday 22 January 2024 at 8.30am

Please note that laptops will not be issued to Year 7 students until one parent has attended the mandatory parent briefing session and both the student and parent have completed the Student Participation Agreement. To learn more and to download the agreement, please click HERE
