Secondary School Teaching Positions for 2022

In preparation for the 2022 school year Rivermount College invites applications from Secondary School Teachers who are inspiring educators, committed to delivering quality learning experiences, to join our College Community in 2022.

The role of a Secondary School Teacher at Rivermount College is to maximise the engagement of students and their learning outcomes by delivering high quality teaching in a safe and supportive learning environment, whereby each student can realise their potential. The ability to provide Pastoral Care support to students is essential within this role.

We welcome applications from suitably qualified educators who are capable of teaching one or more of the following subjects.

English - General

Humanities, specialising in Business and or Legal Studies

Mathematics – General and Methods

Senior Biology and or Chemistry

Design & Technology including – Engineering, Design and Digital Solutions.


Indigenous Support Officer

Rivermount College is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and highly motivated Indigenous Support Officer. The successful applicant will provide support aimed at facilitating the implementation of the underlying mission of the College towards reconciliation. In doing so, they will liaise with, support and advocate for, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, their families, communities, and teachers to improve learning and wellbeing outcomes.

The role of Indigenous Support Officer is a part-time, fixed-term employment opportunity commencing in Term 4, 2021.

Primary School Music Teacher

The role of a Primary School Music Teacher at Rivermount College is to maximise the engagement of students and their learning outcomes by delivering high quality teaching in a safe and supportive learning environment, whereby each student can realise their potential.

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated classroom Music Teacher with a passion for music and an ability to deliver, sound pedagogical knowledge and skill, to teach music in our Primary School. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate contemporary music skills including basic abilities to teach general classroom instruments. This role will provide the opportunity to work alongside specialist music tutors and assist with the delivery of the junior strings and band programs.
